Buckeyes Overcome Huge 1st Half by Hummel to Take Down #6 Purdue

After the end of the 1st half in the OSU-Purdue game, it was not looking good for the Buckeyes. Robbie Hummel finished the half on a tear, making eight three pointers and scoring 29 points. The Purdue crowd was going crazy, and even though the Bucks were just down by 12 at the half, the lead felt insurmountable.

Thanks to Evan Turner, however, the Buckeyes were not out of it.

Turner came out in the second half like Hummel did in the first. Purdues lead floated around 10 for most of the game, and if it wasn't for Turner, the lead probably would've gotten up to 20.

ET scored 23 of his 32 points in the second half and helped the Bucks keep inching closer and closer. The Buckeyes finally took the lead with about a minute left, and finished off #6 Purdue, 70-66.

This was only Turner's 3rd game back since his injury, and even though he had a career high in points, he is said to not even be back to 100%.

The Buckeyes and Evan Turner sent a message to the rest of the Big 10 last night, that they're back and should get even better as Turner fully recovers.
